Movicoders partners with Down Huesca’s Cosmos Festival, a cultural event promoting inclusion

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Down Huesca Association team to our offices. They presented the Cosmos Festival, a cultural initiative that will take place on March 21 in Huesca, coinciding with World Down Syndrome Day and the entity's 35th anniversary. At Movicoders, we wanted to contribute our small part to this project that unites culture, inclusion, and social commitment, and seeks to highlight the talent and participation of people with Down syndrome through art.

A festival combining art and inclusion

The Cosmos Festival is an initiative driven by the Down Huesca Association that uses art as a universal language of inclusion, bringing together various disciplines such as music, dance, and literature on the same stage.

The festival’s objective is to create a cultural space open to all of society, promoting diversity and raising awareness about the importance of equal opportunities.

The festival’s program combines artistic performances, cultural gatherings, and activities that highlight the role of art as a tool to connect people and foster social participation. In previous editions, the event has featured proposals such as inclusive dance performances, cultural roundtables, and charity concerts.

A special event for Down Huesca’s 35th anniversary

This year’s edition holds special significance, as it coincides with the 35th anniversary of the Down Huesca Association, an entity that has been working for decades in the province to improve the quality of life for people with Down syndrome and promote their autonomy, social inclusion, and community participation.

Throughout its history, the association has developed numerous programs focused on education, employment, training, and cultural activities, fostering the full integration of its users into society.

An invitation to the entire city

The Cosmos Festival is conceived as an event open to all citizens, where culture and social commitment unite in a day of celebration, coexistence, and awareness.

From Movicoders, we want to congratulate the Down Huesca Association on its anniversary and for continuing to promote initiatives that contribute to building a more inclusive society.

On March 21, Huesca will once again demonstrate that culture can be a powerful engine for inclusion.
